Alex Cronkite

Meet our latest RVF volunteer, Alex Cronkite. Alex is the nephew of Dr. Vince McColm, a long-time RVF doctor who volunteers yearly with our patients in Bolivia. Currently a student at Tufts University, Alex joined his uncle on our last medical trip. Volunteering for the RVF medical trip can present some daunting experiences - volunteers are told to expect long hours, humid, hot, and rainy weather, trudging for miles - and Alex still reports that he had the most incredible experience, meeting people he will remember for the rest of his life. Dr. Jonathan Melk, CEO and Founder of the RVF, was very impressed with Alex's dedication, professionalism and ability to grasp the unique medical challenges facing the doctors and families in Montero, Bolivia.

Thanks to all of Alex's family and friends who generously donated in honor of his trip - he currently holds the record for most money raised by a volunteer! Thanks, Alex, and we wish you the best as you pursue your medical career.
