Case Study: Ana Margarita

Ana Margarita was a healthy, robust baby when she was born in 2005. By the age of 6 months she had reached key developmental milestones, but due to a severe infection she would never progress beyond that stage. Ana’s young mother would also soon find herself alone, abandoned by Ana’s father.

Fortunately for Ana, she would find help. Her loving aunts stepped up to help out so that Ana’s mother could go out to find work, and thanks to the RVF, Ana is taken to a nearby school for special needs children, where she receives physical therapy three times per week.  Ana’s mother is very grateful to the RVF for helping her give her daughter the care that she needs.
